TO PLAY
- 1 d8,
- 2d6 in different colours
- Pens for drawing
GAME PLAY
- draw 6 consecutive phases of the decaying process using two tables and dice
- you decide when to proceed to the next phase
- 8 different landscapes to dwell in that will influence the flora, fauna and weather
- you bring 2 random Items that can make each drawing unique
A simple depth crawl mechanism helps you to draw an organic decaying process over time incorperating environmental influences and progressing overgrowth of nature. simple modifiers make the game more organic and replayable.
Roll dice to determine in which environment the decaying process takes place. Maybe you brought a sitting pad and can stay a little longer, or perhaps a liter to scare smaller animals away.
Environments can be f.e. a snowy forest, a foggy swamp or breeding hot desert. Each environment brings its own specific climate and fauna to inspire your drawing.
Items can be f.e. a torch, a sitting pad, a weather coat or knife. Eventhough they add a small effect to the scene you are free to interpret your gadgets however you like.
MULTIPLAYER VARIANT
To play day of decay with multiple people each player needs their own playing sheet. Each player rolls their own dice to determine environment and items they bring along. Then for the drawing you can share the dice rolls.
